Provider Shield is a documentation review tool. It is not an invoicing, pricing or claims system.

What this means in practice

  • Provider Shield does not currently check invoices or claims against NDIS price limits.
  • The timesheet check can read support item codes from shift data, but it looks for overlapping shifts, not price breaches.
  • NDIS price limits change over time. Always use the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits published by the NDIA.
